Who is the Health Educator?
Lindsey Barr is the health educator.
She is responsible
for all Health Education services on the campus.
Lindsey is
available for confidential, health-related counseling for
students and can speak to classes or groups on
health topics, or can arrange for another speaker of your choice.
What is health education?
Health Education is teaching the public about health and
wellness, making people more aware of health information and ways
to keep healthy, and preventing disease and illness. Various
methods used in health education include providing informational
materials, offering seminars and presentations, sitting on panel
discussions, hosting events, using media outlets to convey
information, and developing comprehensive programming.

What are the Health Education office hours?
The Health Educator is generally in the office from 8:30 am-
5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. You are welcome to drop in anytime, but
it is best to make an appointment. Please call or email to
schedule one.
What information is available from the
Health Educator?
We have information on a multitude of heath topics. Brochures
are displayed outside for your information. We also offer free
male and female condoms. We can even help with research you may
need for a health paper or presentation. If you cannot find what
you need, please ask! We probably have it or can get it for you.
